Participants in this course will learn how to ask for help, offer suggestions and advice, express their opinions, preferences and emotions and respond to invitations. They’ll also learn how to talk about the weather, communicate their wishes and intentions for the future, apologize in formal and informal contexts, describe their and others’ physical appearance, health and personality, and talk about experiences and events in their and other people’s past. By the end of this course, participants should reach the Intermediate Low level on the proficiency scale of the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages, similar to A2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Language.
