So, how does it look like in “zoom”?
So, what does it look like on “Zoom”? Is it possible to apply the LALIA method online? As it turns out, yes! The software Zoom is designed as if we had been asked what we needed in order to be able to teach communicative, user-centered classes in virtual rooms. From now on, you do not necessarily have to be in Neukölln, in Berlin or even in Germany to take a LALIA Berlin class.
“So, how is your method different from what other schools do?”
Robert Casas Roigé, Ph.D. in Iberian and Latin American Cultures from Stanford University, teaches Spanish and Catalan at Hood College. In this video he talks about the communicative approach to second language acquisition applied by LALIA Berlin.
““So, how is your method different from what other schools do?” In this video Robert Casas Roigé, Ph.D. in Iberian and Latin American Cultures from Stanford University talks about the uses and limitations of traditional, grammar-centered language instruction used by most schools in Europe. This is a quote from an authentic and representative email we received: “I am about to start level A2.2 in (x y z school) and I have the feeling that I know a lot in theory but the moment that I want to speak it is very difficult. I would like to change to a method where I can actually speak and not be afraid of making tons of mistakes.“ In this video Robert Casas talks about the importance of making mistakes as part of the process of learning a foreign language.
Nuestro amigo y colega, Robert Casas, profesor de lengua i cine cerca de Washington DC, explica quiénes somos Lalia, que método utilizamos en nuestra escuela y cuál es la diferencia respecto a las metodologías tradicionales.
